How to Use a PC Internet Connection on a Nokia 6630 Gnubox

GnuBox is a free application that runs on Nokia phones. It allows you to create an Internet connection through your cell phone. With this application, you can navigate the Web, download music and video, read and send emails and chat with friends and family. With the Nokia PC Suite software, you can tether your phone to the Internet. Nokia PC Suite provides you with one-touch access, no matter where you are in the world.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bluetooth-enabled computer or Bluetooth dongle
  • Nokia PC Suite
  1. Insert the Nokia PC software in your computer's optical drive. Wait for the software to launch on your computer. Alternatively, you can click the software's icon.

  2. Click the "Get Connected" button. Choose "Bluetooth" from the list of options. Press the "Next" button.

  3. Select your phone from the list of options. Click "Next" once more. Nokia PC Suite will now install the drivers for your cell phone.

  4. Click the globe icon. This gives you one-touch Internet access. Choose "Standard Modem over Bluetooth Link" from the "Select Modem" list of options. Click "Next" again.

  5. Click the radio button. Select your wireless provider and click "Next." This will tether your phone to the Internet.

  6. Click the "One Touch Access" button. This will launch a Web browser and allow you to navigate the Internet.
